The 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International, a comic and multi-genre entertainment convention, will take place at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, between Thursday 9th and Sunday 12th July 2015.
The largest convention of its kind in the world, the San Diego Comic-Con International was originally showcasing primarily comic books and science fiction and fantasy related topics, but now covers a much wider range of entertainment elements across virtually all genres and media. The convention frequently attracts more than 130,000 attendees, filling the San Diego Convention Center to its capacity.
This year’s programme includes (literally) hundreds of discussion groups, panels, meetings, signings, screenings, workshops, and other events on dozens of science fiction, fantasy, horror, comics, manga, anime and cosplay-related topics.

The big Ballroom 20 stage becomes a venue for an amazing competition of creativity with impressive original and re-created costumes crafted by talented attendees, presented in front of an audience of thousands, and with trophies and generous cash and other awards bestowed to the most outstanding entries. Not a dance or party as the name might imply, but a talent show on a stage, with comedy, drama, special effects and many surprises. Doors will open for audience seating at 19:45 but the line for choice seating will start hours earlier. Since the ballroom often fills up, tickets are required for Ballroom 20 seating and will be given out free to those lining up near the ballroom beginning at noon. Any tickets that may remain will be given out at the Masquerade Desk after 15:00. The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies are once again writers/artists Phil Foglio and Kaja Foglio of Studio Foglio. Intermission entertainment will feature the lightsaber battles of the Saber Guild performance group.
